IOAKU x MissMyagi
Press release:
IOAKU X MISS MYAGI – a creative collaboration for sustainable fashion
Jewelry brand IOAKU by Fanny Ek is launching a pilot project with embellished bags together with re-designer MISS MYAGI .
The bags are purchased secondhand and adorned with reclaimed jewelry from IOAKU – a creative initiative that focuses on sustainability and draws attention to circular fashion .
The collaboration is a joint statement to highlight the importance of recycling within the fashion industry. By giving new life to previously reclaimed jewelry, the parties want to show that discarded items can gain new value, in a new form.
– To create something that is and feels unique is important to me as a designer so it feels both nice and valuable to have the opportunity to engage our community with this part of our sustainability work. In the collaboration with MISS MYAGI, our customers get to follow along on the journey as their complaints are transformed into a new unique treasure – unexpected, beautiful and full of history, says Fanny Ek, CEO and founder of IOAKU.
–The bags are so much more than accessories – they are a symbolic expression of the fashion of the future: creative, sustainable and conscious, adds Malin Eriksson, Creative Director behind the re-make project MISS MYAGI.
